Chief Executive | Te Tumu Whakarae
  • Lead a values-driven Māori investment company
  • Champion intergenerational prosperity for Ngāpuhi
  • Funds, fisheries, horticulture and property

Ngāpuhi is the largest iwi in Aotearoa, with more than 180,000 people affiliating to the iwi. They have enduring connections across Te Tai Tokerau and beyond. Ngāpuhi Asset Holding Company (NAHC) is the commercial arm of Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi o Ngāpuhi, entrusted with growing the iwi’s asset base and supporting intergenerational prosperity for Ngāpuhi whānui. With a strong balance sheet and a ten-year strategy anchored in growth, whānau voice, and intergenerational capability, NAHC is now poised for a new era of impact and renewal.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to lead a kaupapa Māori investment organisation that balances financial performance with cultural purpose. You’ll be at the helm of an entity that holds significant assets across fisheries, horticulture, funds and property, and you’ll shape new opportunities that strengthen the Ngāpuhi Group, create value for whānau, and grow the iwi’s collective wealth for generations to come.

You’ll bring proven experience leading complex commercial or investment portfolios, and the confidence to navigate both boardroom and marae with ease. You’ll be a strategic thinker, a decisive and values-based leader, and an exceptional communicator who inspires confidence and builds enduring relationships. You’ll combine commercial discipline with integrity and humility, bring a deep respect for Ngāpuhi tikanga, and hold a steadfast belief in the potential of our people and our future.

Lead with purpose. Build prosperity. Strengthen Ngāpuhi for generations to come.
