About the Company:
Well-known throughout Aotearoa, this leading FMCG company and their products are well-known in every home. Having a down-to-earth culture, they are looking for someone like-minded; adaptable, people-focused, and always ready to roll up their sleeves up to join the team as Production Manager. 

About the Role:
As the Production Manager for the site, you will lead, direct and manage the respective manufacturing lines to ensure that all production targets and delivery schedules are achieved within the given timeline and allocated resources. You will be responsible for the safety & food safety standards, agreed operating budgets and the ongoing cost effectiveness of production area-activities, the management of labour, and the achievement of volume, quality and production standard-requirements. You will lead from the front, driving a great culture whilst delivering results and efficiency and waste improvements via the implementation of IWS tools and your passion for continuous improvement. A full PD is available.

About You:
You will probably have a good level of experience in a similar role or be looking for a step-up to a larger role. A tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Engineering, Food Technology, or another relevant field will be beneficial but more importantly you will have proven experience in a leadership role at a senior level within a manufacturing environment preferably a food manufacturing environment – including awareness of key food safety and quality requirements.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing systems – ideally utilising IWS Skills/Capabilities
  • Sound leadership skills; the ability to lead, inspire and develop a team of production specialists
  • Driving department contributions to achieve the required performance and strategic objectives
  • Strong relationship building/communication skills to engage your team and link with key stakeholders
  • Well refined problem-solving skills
  • Resilience and confidence to make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to understand complex issues with supporting data and focus on key issues
  • Able to make critical and commercially astute decisions by evaluating options and then acting upon them
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to be self-directed and motivated, demonstrating a proactive and innovative approach with a high level of initiative.
