With private equity backing through Oriens Capital and a footprint across 40 distributors globally, they are now poised to accelerate growth globally with a focus on the commercial architecture and marine market.
  • Fastmount is expected to achieve significant growth through improvement of its existing marine distribution network and acceleration of the global distribution network for the architectural market. As Fastmount continue to expand their global footprint, they are seeking a passionate Global Commercial Manager (official title) to join the team and drive/own/deliver these initiatives.
  • Business growth will also be achieved from further development of the brand and focussed product innovation, with a product set that is market leading and premium. 
  • The business is highly focused on efficiency and operational excellence. Design, tooling and manufacturing are outsourced, with a focus on world class Brand, R&D, B2B Sales, Marketing and Technical customer support.

About the Role: 
  • Please note the official title for this role is “Global Commercial Manager” and we have called the role “Global Sales Manager” for advertising purposes only.
  • Reporting into the CEO, with a close relationship with the GM Product, this is a newly created strategic and commercial role playing a pivotal role within this small leadership team. 
  • This role is responsible to deliver sales and growth results enabling both existing and new distributors to be effective in their markets – ultimately helping distributors sell more products and support their customers better.
  • This role will manage and support distributors globally, with a focus on Europe and the USA predominantly, and Australia.
  • These key aspects this role is tasked with is to: - drive sales, align strategies, discover new growth opportunities, oversee commercial negotiations, and ensure strong relationships through both insights and strong EQ, coupled with excellent communication (email, video, F2F).
  • This role will expand the distribution network through identifying and engaging with potential new distributors and partners.
  • To enable this growth, we are looking for someone who is insights driven, using marketing intelligence to inform strategic decisions alongside collaborating with the marketing team relative to building brand awareness and showcasing product launches (e.g. case studies). 
  • As you’d expect this role also is responsible for regular reporting on sales performance (e.g. tracking monthly sales) and sharing distributor network status, strategies and commercial insights.
  • This role has a seat at the table and active involvement at a monthly board meeting to drive discussions on sales strategies and business opportunities and risk are required.
  • This role requires international travel mainly Europe, USA, and Australia (allow about 6 to 8 weeks travel per year), including attending trade shows. 
  • This role comes with a base salary and good bonus structure.


About You: 
  • You will be an intermediate to senior level experienced Commercial Sales Manager with global experience - we are open to sector here. 
  • You will have a proven track record of developing new business and growing existing accounts globally and experience in successfully navigating complex commercial environments.
  • Experience working with distributors in markets like Europe, the USA and Australia will help you succeed in the role. You will have proven and existing examples of building new businesses in overseas markets, and you will enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • You will be able to work autonomously as well as working closely with the SLT (CEO and GM Product) and have the drive and ambition to grow with the business. 
  •  We are looking for someone with a strong strategic mindset, strong business acumen, strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail to succeed in this role.
  • You must be proactive in nature to drive sales and maximise the distributor network effectiveness with a growth mindset and high EQ.
  • You are collaborative and personable to build rapport easily both internally/externally. We are looking for excellent influencing and stakeholder management.  You will have effective communication skills, with experience working across different cultures with an innate awareness of how your message is received.  
  • You will be comfortable having healthy conversations around negotiations and the ability to adapt to different styles of customers, with the ability to engage, push and challenge where appropriate and know when to push back, 
  • You will be a driven and motivated self-starter, enjoy working within small cross functional teams 
  • Holding a high focus on customer satisfaction, you will be structured and analytical in your work approach with excellent problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
