Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington appoints their new COO

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is a global-civic university with our marae at our heart. This iho draws off our heritage and is further defined by our tūrangawaewae, in particular Wellington, Aotearoa, and the Asia-Pacific, all of which are expressed in our position as Aotearoa New Zealand's globally ranked capital city university. 

The senior leadership team engaged Tribe Leadership's David Hammond on the searching for an outstanding Chief Operating Officer (COO) to inspire a team of around 400 professionals to deliver core essential services with a focus on student support and success. 

We are delighted to share that Tina Wakefield has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer for Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington. An experienced Executive Leader and Coach with experience spanning strategic planning, information technology management, corporate services & operations (HR, Finance, Commercial,
Property, Data, Information, Digital, Health, Safety and Security) and portfolio management and implementation, there is no doubt on what on the value Tina will bring to the University.
