Site Reliability Engineer

Apply
Lead the Future of Cloud Engineering: Site Reliability Engineer
Are you ready to shape internet scale systems your way? As a Site Reliability Engineer with us, you'll have the opportunity to own and elevate cloud operations, driving best practices and setting new standards for technical excellence.

With direct collaboration with the CTO, you'll be a key influencer in their digital strategy, empowered to revolutionise availability, performance, automation, and security across their platforms.

You’ll join at a pivotal time, helping to shape the direction of cloud engineering while working alongside a supportive and ambitious leadership team.

The Culture:
The business has established a reputation for cultivating a positive and collaborative workplace where employees are encouraged to share ideas and challenge the status quo.

They foster a culture where learning from experiences takes precedence over assigning blame, enabling continuous improvement and innovation.

The culture strikes a balance between innovation and pragmatism: you’ll be trusted to make decisions, backed by colleagues who genuinely want to see you succeed. Flexibility, empowerment, and a focus on professional growth are all at the heart of how the team works.

What You’ll Do:
  • Build, run, and optimise large-scale cloud-native environments, with a strong focus on AWS and Kubernetes (EKS), ensuring unmatched performance even under peak loads.
  • Design and implement automation to eliminate toil, improve reliability, and streamline the SDLC, allowing development teams to focus more on innovation and less on manual tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to architect and deliver resilient, scalable, and performant applications, so end-users enjoy consistent and reliable service.
  • Maintain and evolve cloud security posture, including IAM, policy management, compliance controls, and regular security assessments. Champion modern DevOps practices by driving CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible), and continuous integration standards.

About You:
  • You’re confident working in AWS or another major cloud platform and have 3–5 years’ experience across IaaS and PaaS environments.
  • You’ve worked with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible), and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes/EKS). You thrive on autonomy and problem-solving, and aren’t afraid to bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • You’ll bring a friendly, collaborative approach to work, thrive as a supportive team player, and demonstrate a positive attitude that helps lift those around you.

Why Join?
  • Work directly with the CTO - take full ownership of cloud strategy, tooling, and platform decisions, with direct influence on architecture and future technology direction.
  • Supportive, collaborative culture -  join a team that values innovation, experimentation, and impact, where your technical input will be heard and acted on.
  • Shape how cloud is done - set standards for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, container orchestration, and security in a business scaling its digital footprint.
  • Growth with opportunity  - be part of a company investing in its technology, creating room to advance your skills, expand responsibilities, and shape a high-performing environment.

Benefits
  • Volunteer days, birthday leave, and enhanced parental leave
  • Subsidised health insurance, EAP programme, and wellbeing speakers
  • Social events, weekly fruit/snacks, and a $200 home office allowance
  • Free travel insurance, company-wide discounts, and subsidies for public transport or parking
