About the Role: 
Reporting to the CCO and sitting on the Commercial Leadership Team, this role blends country-level commercial leadership with hands-on sales execution. You’ll lead a small but capable team, navigate ambiguity, and help shape how the NZ business scales; commercially, operationally and culturally.
  • Own the NZ commercial agenda, delivering topline growth and contribution targets across grocery, pharmacy and emerging channels
  • Act as the commercial lead for New Zealand, representing the country internally and advocating for the right investments, priorities and trade-offs
  • Lead and develop a team of national account leaders and commercial specialists, motivating performance through clarity, support and trust
  • Drive pricing strategy, trade investment and ROI, including leading complex negotiations and resetting legacy terms where required
  • Partner closely with supply chain, marketing, category, finance and insights teams across NZ and Australia
  • Use data-led insights (RGM, forecasting, performance tracking) to inform decisions and continuously improve results
  • Lead through change and transformation, helping the NZ business think differently and operate with greater commercial rigour

About You: 
This role requires someone with a strong FMCG or complex retail account and leadership background.
  • A proven senior commercial or sales leader with experience leading teams and influencing at a senior level
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and manage P&L levers, even if not previously accountable for a full country P&L
  • Deep experience in national accounts, major customers or complex negotiations (FMCG, grocery, retail)
  • Someone comfortable operating in ambiguity and growth environments, able to prioritise, make pragmatic decisions and bring others with them
  • A collaborative leadership style – confident, calm and solutions-focused rather than combative
  • Experience leading leaders, or developing high-performing account teams through change
  • The credibility and communication skills to represent NZ within an Australian-headquartered, global organisation
