About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Product Owner to work closely with our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud, and DevOps teams, owning and driving the product backlog for critical platform capabilities that underpin our global SaaS products.
This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and operations. You’ll translate business and technical needs into clear priorities, ensuring platform teams are focused on delivering scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performing services.
You will be embedded with engineering squads, partnering deeply with SREs, platform engineers, and cloud specialists to enable fast, safe, and resilient product delivery at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the product backlog for SRE, Cloud, and DevOps platform initiatives
Partner closely with engineering teams to define, refine, and prioritise work aligned to reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence
Translate complex technical requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery outcomes
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and prioritisation ceremonies
Act as the primary interface between engineering, product leadership, and stakeholders
Balance delivery of new platform capabilities with technical debt, reliability improvements, and operational priorities
Define and track success metrics related to availability, performance, resilience, and developer experience
Experience & Background
Proven experience as a Product Owner working with SRE, Cloud, Platform, or DevOps teams
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, ideally AWS, Azure, or GCP
Hands-on experience working in Agile / Scrum environments, embedded with engineering teams
Background working on internal platforms, tooling, reliability, or infrastructure products
Technical Fluency
Comfortable engaging in discussions around:
o CI/CD pipelines
o Observability, monitoring, and incident management
o Reliability engineering concepts (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)
o Cloud infrastructure and platform scalability
Able to bridge the gap between technical depth and business outcomes
