About the Company:
This organisation operates in a high-impact, high accountability environment, where clear insight and reliable data underpin important decisions. Their work influences how performance and outcomes are understood across the public sector.
They’re investing heavily in modern data and analytics capability, and this role plays a key part in building the foundations for that work.
About the Role:
This is a hands on Analytics Engineer role joining a delivery team implementing a new, modern data and analytics platform built on Snowflake.
You’ll be focused on shaping the analytics layer by designing clean, reliable, and well-structured data models that underpin dashboards, analytical products, and self-service insights. You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to turn complex datasets into assets people genuinely trust and use.
This would suit someone who enjoys building foundations, setting standards, and leaving things better than they found them. There’s no people management, but plenty of influence. Your work will directly shape how analytics is done across the organisation.
About You:
You are someone who sits comfortably between data engineering and analytics, and who cares as much about clarity and usability as you do about technical quality.
You’ll bring:
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
Good Python skills and experience building analytical products
An understanding of data modelling, documentation, lineage, and governance
The ability to explain data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
A genuine interest in work that has public value and real-world impact
Experience with public-sector data, financial or performance reporting, or regulated environments is useful, but not essential.
Benefits:
12-month fixed-term role with meaningful, visible impact
Flexible, hybrid working arrangements
Support for learning and professional development
Health and well-being benefits
A collaborative, values-led environment where quality and integrity matter
