We’re working with one of New Zealand’s largest and most recognised banks, currently undertaking a once-in-a-generation core platform transformation. This multi-year programme will modernise the technology that underpins millions of customer accounts, lending, deposits, payments, and digital channels, ensuring the bank can innovate more quickly, meet evolving regulatory demands, and deliver improved customer experiences.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead business analysis for core banking replacement, overseeing current-state discovery through to future-state solution design.
- Partner with product, finance, risk, operations, and digital teams to understand how customers, transactions, and data flow across the bank today, and shape how they will work tomorrow.
- Define and document functional, non-functional, and integration requirements that enable a safe migration and the introduction of new platform capabilities.
- Bridge strategy and execution, communicating clearly with executives and delivery teams.
- Support Agile/hybrid delivery, contributing to backlog, user stories, and balancing quality with risk.
- Influence solution design across banking systems to ensure business and regulatory alignment.
What we’re looking for
- We’re seeking experienced Senior Business Analysts who thrive in fast-paced, complex programmes. You’ll bring:
- Proven large-scale financial services transformation analysis experience.
- Expertise in core banking systems and platform architecture.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders, translating technical concepts for business impact.
- Proven collaboration with business and technology teams.
- Experience in Agile or hybrid enterprise delivery.
- Bonus: exposure to payment systems or regulatory change would be an advantage (but not essential).
