Are you a passionate and experienced technical leader who thrives on driving technical solutions and architectural design in the enterprise space? We are looking for a D365 Technical Lead to join an ambitious and dynamic digital team, delivering cutting-edge technology solutions.
You will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems, integrating with other platforms and contributing to the scalability and reliability of key operational functions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, guide technical design, and mentor team members to ensure the highest standards in solution delivery.
This role will suit someone with a strong technical background who is excited to influence and lead projects while remaining hands-on with the technology.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Leadership & Design: Lead the design and development of D365 Finance and Operations solutions. Collaborate with Platform Managers, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical best practices. Develop and implement cloud solutions, customisations, and integrations that align with company goals.
- System Integration & Optimisation: Design and manage complex integrations using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and other related technologies. Ensure seamless integration of third-party applications with D365. Monitor platform health, performance, and implement optimisations to enhance reliability.
- Hands-On Development & Problem-Solving: Take an active role in implementing and managing D365 Finance & Operations applications. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions to production issues. Ensure that product updates and system upgrades are rolled out smoothly without disrupting operations.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with functional consultants and developers to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements. Lead technical workshops and design sessions to ensure alignment with business needs. Mentor junior consultants and help them develop technical expertise.
- Documentation & Reporting: Produce clear, high-quality documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides. Document processes and solutions thoroughly to ensure effective knowledge transfer and seamless ongoing support.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Technical Expertise in D365: Strong experience with D365 Finance & Operations and a solid understanding of finance and business processes.
- Cloud Technologies & Integrations: Expertise with Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and the ability to design and implement integrations with third-party applications. Familiarity with payment APIs is a plus.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience as a technical lead, guiding projects from development to production and mentoring team members.
- Hands-On Development: Comfort in diving into the product and making hands-on changes to D365 systems and integrations.
- Communication Skills: Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly and effectively.
- Solution Design & Implementation: Experience leading design and architecture for complex enterprise applications. You’ll focus on producing scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Documentation & Process: Ability to document systems, solutions, and processes clearly, ensuring high levels of transparency and alignment.
Desirable Skills:
- CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices and Infrastructure as Code.
- Azure Certification: Certification in Azure or related technologies would be highly desirable.
- Tertiary Education: Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
