About the Company:

This organisation operates in a high impact, high accountability environment, where clear insight and reliable data underpin important decisions.

The Data and Analytics function is undergoing a significant transformation, investing in modern platforms, improved data capability, and stronger foundations to support high-quality analysis and reporting across the public sector.

About the Role:

As a Data Engineer, you’ll be part of a delivery team responsible for building and maintaining the organisation’s modern data platform.

Your focus will be on designing, developing, and optimising data pipelines and infrastructure that enable analytics, reporting, and insight across multiple domains. You’ll work closely with Analytics Engineers, analysts, and platform leads to ensure data is reliable, well-structured, and accessible for downstream use.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working close to the data platform, solving complex engineering problems, and contributing to meaningful outcomes.

About You:

You’re a technically strong senior Data Engineer who enjoys building robust, scalable data solutions and taking ownership of delivery.

You’ll likely bring:
  • Proven experience designing and building data pipelines in a cloud environment
  • Strong SQL capability, with working knowledge of Python
  • A solid understanding of data warehousing and data modelling concepts
  • A quality-focused mindset, with an eye for performance, reliability, and security
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with analytics and delivery teams
Experience with tools such as Snowflake, dbt, or modern CI/CD practices is beneficial, but not essential.

Benefits:
  • 12-month fixed-term role with meaningful, visible impact
  • Flexible, hybrid working arrangements
  • Support for learning and professional development
  • Health and wellbeing benefits
  • A collaborative, values-led environment where quality and integrity matter
