A large, complex national organisation is seeking a Senior Systems Accountant to play a pivotal role in its central finance function. You will connect financial systems, data, and insights to support strategic decision-making, planning, and performance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as finance subject-matter expert for ERP, BI, and planning systems
- Translate business requirements into clear system and reporting solutions
- Lead and coordinate finance-led system enhancements and upgrades
- Support budgeting, costing, modelling, and reporting through system design
- Drive system integration, data quality, and usability across finance platforms
- Provide guidance, documentation, training, and mentoring across the finance team
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in accounting/finance systems within a large organisation
- Hands-on experience with ERP and BI/planning tools (SAP, SAP BI, TM1, Oracle, SQL)
- Strong understanding of management accounting and financial principles
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience across system development lifecycles, upgrades, and improvements
- Strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and collaborative style
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
