About the Opportunity
A large, globally backed organisation is seeking a technically strong Accountant to support a key transformation phase. This contract role will focus on improving month-end processes, enhancing reporting accuracy, and supporting audit and compliance requirements.
You’ll work closely with senior finance leadership to streamline workflows, document processes, and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, documenting and optimising month-end processes
- Improving balance sheet reconciliations and reporting clarity
- Supporting audit queries and IRD requirements
- Assisting with workflow restructuring and resource allocation
- Providing hands-on accounting support across AP, reconciliations and general finance tasks
- Driving process improvements with a focus on automation and compliance
What You’ll Bring
- CA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong NZ accounting, GST and FBT experience
- Experience supporting or leading audit requirements
- Proven ability to improve processes and drive change
- Comfortable working in a high-compliance, fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency
