About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established New Zealand technology consultancy that partners with organisations across Auckland and further afield to deliver practical, high-impact digital solutions.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Lead UX/UI Designer to step into a role where design genuinely influences decision-making. You’ll help embed strong design thinking into a large, long-running programme of work, advocating for design quality at a governance level and ensuring what goes into production reflects the intended vision.
They’re looking for someone with a creative product mindset and an agency-style approach someone who can not only design but clearly articulate why something isn’t working and guide stakeholders toward better solutions.
This is a senior role with real autonomy and influence. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, developers, and project teams while also contributing to the wider UX/UI practice and mentoring junior designers.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of commercial experience in UX/UI and mobile applications
- Must have experience working in an IT consultancy or design agency environment
- Demonstrated ability to guide and influence stakeholder thinking around UX and interface
- Superb communication and collaboration skills
- A deep interest in the large-scale application of design systems
- Hands-on experience with responsive design and accessibility standards
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
