About the Opportunity
A well-established, privately owned New Zealand wine distribution business with strong commercial ambition, backed by an Australian parent that owns vineyards and brings genuine depth across the New Zealand wine landscape. You will sit on a formal two-director NZ board with a clear mandate to build and sharpen commercial growth strategy across hospitality, grocery, and independent retail channels. The role is strategic and commercial in nature, supporting a strong General Manager to execute with confidence rather than stepping into day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Bring
Candidates will bring GM or CEO level experience from within a privately owned business, backed by deep FMCG or consumer goods expertise spanning New Zealand's key channels: grocery, on premise, and independent retail. They will have a proven track record of building commercial strategy from the ground up and owning outcomes, having built real businesses rather than simply executing plans handed down to them. Board or governance experience is expected, with an IoD qualification a welcome bonus, alongside strong supply chain literacy and a genuine affinity for the wine or beverage industry.
