We are seeking a Finance Manager
Property Financial Accounting to lead financial stewardship of a large, capital-intensive property portfolio.
This is a senior role with responsibility for managing financial reporting, asset accounting, and strategic advice to support investment decisions and portfolio optimisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversight of asset accounting and fixed asset register management, including acquisitions, disposals, and lifecycle movements
- Leading end-to-end revaluation processes, including planning, working with external valuers, reviewing assumptions, processing accounting entries, and supporting audits
- Managing month-end and year-end financial reporting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance
- Oversight of high-value capital and operating transactions across the property portfolio
- Providing strategic technical accounting advice to support portfolio performance and long-term infrastructure sustainability
What You’ll Bring
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification recognised in New Zealand
- Proven experience managing financial accounting for large, capital-intensive asset portfolios
- Hands-on experience in asset revaluations, audit management, and statutory reporting
- Strong understanding of public sector or regulatory financial frameworks
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide finance teams
- Ability to provide trusted, strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and systems skills
