Global Health & Safety Lead

Apply
About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading-edge kiwi business going through rapid growth. Whilst it’s been operating for quite a while, it still has a start-up type of feeling to it and is full of smart, creative and ambitious people.
This role is a 12-month parental leave cover but is far from a “baby-sitting” type of gig. It offers the chance to drive compliance and health & safety across global operations. Key aspects of the role will include;
  • Fostering a strong partnership approach across the business.
  • Reviewing and improving operational H&S compliance.
  • Board reporting, Governance Group meetings and managing Employee led networks.
  • Unifying a global approach to critical risk areas.
What You’ll Bring
This role would suit someone who is a senior level H&S professional, ideally with some experience within a blue-collar sector. As a person you need to demonstrate a calm confidence paired with a mature, positive partnering approach. Key qualifications required include;
  • Senior level knowledge of relevant NZ H&S legislation and compliance.
  • Proficiency using MS Teams.
  • Ideally a NEBOSH (or similar) qualification.
  • Prior experience writing and presenting Board reports and partnering with Executive leadership.

What’s on Offer
This role is the place to be for someone who’s hungry and motivated for a challenge. It’s not your standard parental leave cover but instead an opportunity to make your mark, build strong partnerships and prepare the business for a future ISO alignment. It comes with;
  • Attractive salary.
  • 1-day WFH flexibility and minimal travel requirements.
  • Ability to step into a Sole Charge role.
