We’re partnering with a well-known NZ organisation whose digital channels support customers all over the country. The work you do here won’t sit in a corner of the internet your improvements will shape experiences that New Zealanders rely on, every day.
This is a core UX role (not a purely visual design position), with strong influence across end-to-end customer journeys, and plenty of opportunity to bring thoughtful UI treatment to life in-market.

What You’ll Bring
You’ll be embedded in a delivery environment where you can go from insight to impact improving live journeys through:
- Discovery and research: interviews, testing, behavioural signals, finding the real friction
- Journey design: mapping end-to-end flows, clarifying information architecture, simplifying decision points
- Interaction design + prototyping: wireframes to clickable prototypes that bring stakeholders along
- UI craft (where it matters): refining layouts, hierarchy, accessibility, and interaction patterns so experiences feel sharp and consistent
- Optimisation: iterating based on user feedback, performance data, and what’s actually happening in production
Core Must-haves
- Solid UX fundamentals: research, interaction design, usability principles
- Confidence shaping and improving end-to-end digital journeys
- Strong grounding in accessibility and inclusive design
- Comfort operating in ambiguity asking the right questions, framing the problem, and moving work forward
- Experience collaborating in agile, cross-functional squads
- The ability to communicate design rationale clearly (and bring others with you)
- Experience working in sprints
