We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large and complex organisation where you will play a key role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making across a significant portfolio.
About the Role
Reporting to a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing high-quality financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and commercial insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building strong relationships with senior leaders and budget holders
- Providing strategic financial advice and decision support
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
- Delivering insightful management reporting and performance analysis
- Supporting the development and evaluation of business cases and investment proposals
- Providing financial oversight and analysis across CAPEX and OPEX expenditure
- Partnering with stakeholders responsible for infrastructure, property, and asset portfolios
- Identifying financial risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives
- Contributing to organisational planning and investment decision-making
About You
You will be a confident and proactive finance professional with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders while building strong working relationships.
To be successful, you will bring:
- CA ANZ qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven Finance Business Partnering experience within a large and complex organisation
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling capability
- Experience managing and analysing both capital and operational expenditure
- Business case development and investment analysis experience
- Exposure to infrastructure, property, asset management, or capital project environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with modern finance systems and reporting tools
- Public sector or government experience will be highly regarded
