A well-regarded public-sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Transaction Analyst to join its Risk and Financing function. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely financial transactions and supporting high-quality reporting across the organisation.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for end-to-end transactional activities with a strong focus on receivables, banking, investments, and reconciliations, while supporting month-end processes and finance systems. You’ll also work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, contributing to audit responses and ministerial-level reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing levy and other receivables, invoicing and reconciliations
- Monitoring and resolving receivable balances and anomalies
- Bank account and investment reconciliations and forecasting
- Supporting investment transactions and reporting
- Month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and system processes
- Supporting finance systems, testing and enhancements
- Responding to audit, Parliamentary and Select Committee queries
- Contributing to continuous improvement and ad-hoc projects
About You
You’re detail-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a complex, high-accountability environment.
You’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in financial transactions (senior-level experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of AP/AR, cash management and reconciliations
- Experience using finance systems (public-sector experience an advantage)
- Intermediate Excel skills and/or exposure to Power BI
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
