Ko wai te Pakihi nei | About the Organisation Te Hui Amorangi ki te Ūpoko o te Ika is the Māori Anglican Church of Te Upoko o te Ika, serving whānau, hapū, iwi and wider communities across Wellington, Wairarapa, Kāpiti, Horowhenua, Manawatū, Rangitīkei, Whanganui and Taranaki.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Palmerston North (Te Papaioea), with regular travel across the Amorangi region.
Ko te āhua o te tūranga | About the Role This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the operational, financial, governance and strategic leadership of Te Hui Amorangi ki te Ūpoko o te Ika.
You will lead the Amorangi office and kaimahi to deliver effective day-to-day operations, strong financial stewardship, and successful implementation of organisational priorities. Working closely with Te Pīhopa, governance boards and key stakeholders, you will help bring the current strategic plan to life while shaping the organisation’s future direction.
Mōu | About You You will be an experienced senior leader with strong operational and financial management capability, and the ability to turn strategy into action. You’ll bring sound judgement, credibility and a collaborative leadership style that enables people and organisations to thrive.
You will be confident working in partnership with Te Pīhopa, governance boards and diverse stakeholders, building trusted relationships and aligning operational delivery with governance expectations and organisational goals.
Just as importantly, you’ll be motivated by the opportunity to build organisational capability and sustainability, strengthening systems, people and processes to support long-term mission impact.
