HR Business Partner (Christchurch or Dunedin)

About the Opportunity
•    Newly created HR Business Partner role within a global organisation. Based in either Christchurch or Dunedin (travel between the two sites will be required).
•    Standalone HR position supporting teams across mainly NZ and Australia (quarterly travel to Australia is expected).
•    Strong focus on employee relations as well as end-to-end recruitment in a more traditional, unionised environment.
•    Key partnership role supporting a new General Manager who’s open to feedback and will be seeking your input on how to uplift company culture. 

What You’ll Bring 
•    We’re looking for proven HRBP / senior generalist experience, with deep confidence in ER case management.
•    You must be comfortable navigating performance, complex issues, and change in an operational environment.
•    Ability to work constructively with unions and/or negotiate confidently is essential (prior IR/union exposure would be ideal but is not a must)
•    Hands-on recruitment capability including hard-to-fill operational/technical roles.
•    Resilient, practical style with strong relationship-building and influence skills.
•    It’ll be beneficial if you’ve got previous experience supporting an Australia based team.

•    You can be based in either Christchurch or Dunedin as long as you can travel between both sites monthly.
