About the Opportunity
Love payroll leadership, but ready to trade the five-day week for a senior three-day opportunity? Join a well-established organisation needing an experienced leader to keep BAU payroll and P&C operations running smoothly during a major systems project.
- Oversee accurate, timely payroll delivery across New Zealand and the Pacific, checking payrolls and resolving technical or compliance issues.
- Lead an experienced P&C Operations Lead and support the wider payroll operations team based in Fiji.
- Help strengthen processes, manage risk and maintain excellent service across a busy, multi-country operation.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong technical expertise in New Zealand payroll legislation, compliance and Holidays Act requirements.
- Previous experience leading a payroll, P&C operations or shared-services team.
- Confidence checking complex payrolls, managing escalations and supporting remediation activity.
- A calm, credible leadership style with strong coaching, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with CRIS21, Oracle, SmoothPay or Pacific payrolls would be useful, but is not essential.

- A six-month contract with an ASAP start and potential for extension.
- Part-time hours of 22.5 hours per week, with Monday and Tuesday required.
