About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading New Zealand organisation to appoint an experienced Head of Claims Operations on an interim basis for an initial 3–6 month contract.
This is a critical leadership opportunity for an experienced General Insurance professional who can step into a senior claim’s environment, provide immediate stability and ensure strong operational performance through a period of organisational change.
Reporting into the Executive team, you will provide hands-on leadership across claims operations, supporting the delivery of high-quality customer outcomes while maintaining strong operational discipline, performance and capability.
This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact in an established insurance business where your experience, judgement and leadership will be highly valued.
What You’ll Bring
- Significant General Insurance experience is essential, with approximately 5–10 years across the sector
- Proven claims experience, ideally at least 1–2 years in a senior claim’s environment
- Experience operating at Senior Manager, Head of Claims, Head of Claims Operations or equivalent level
- Strong understanding of claims operations, performance, customer outcomes and operational risk
- A confident and pragmatic leadership style, with the ability to quickly establish credibility, build relationships and make sound decisions
- New Zealand General Insurance experience is essential, with the ability to hit the ground running in a local operating environment
- Available to commence at short notice, or within a timeframe that works for an interim appointment
