About the Opportunity
Ford is an iconic global brand with a proud local legacy, and a culture built on respect, service, and delivering a great customer experience across the full lifecycle (pre-sales, service and after sales).

Based in Ellerslie, Ford NZ is on a transformation journey to remain an innovative market leader. With deep heritage (120 years in NZ) and the scale of a global organisation, it’s a fast-moving environment where pace, process, governance and stakeholder management matter — you’ll be comfortable navigating structure and ambiguity while keeping delivery tight and outcomes clear.

The marketing team is a highly collaborative, delivery-led environment with strong cross-functional involvement. Marketing works closely with Product, Sales and the wider business, and success comes from people who can work through complexity, influence stakeholders, and maintain momentum while operating within a global brand and governance framework.

Tribe are proud to be partnering with Ford on a number of new roles to support their mission to grow market share.

This Product Marketing Manager – Ranger role is the commercial and product marketing owner for Ford Ranger in New Zealand. You’ll own performance end-to-end across market share, profitability and lead generation, with a wide stakeholder group across Ford NZ, the dealer network, and global teams.

In this role, you will:
  • Own Ranger strategy and performance across market share, profit and lead generation
  • Provide upstream product input — feeding voice-of-customer into global teams
  • Shape and deliver product differentiation: positioning, messaging and competitive advantage
  • Lead launch planning and execution (pricing, dealer readiness, training, events, comms)
  • Drive demand generation across campaigns and channels, partnering with the wider marketing team
  • Work closely with Sales (incl. fleet/government channels) to support conversion through the funnel
  • Partner with Sales Operations on ordering/forecasting inputs (mix, variants, colours)
  • Own agency briefing and delivery — ensuring campaigns land on time, on budget, and hit KPIs
  • Ensure product and campaign claims are accurate, compliant and launch-ready (detail matters)
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven B2C product marketing / commercial ownership experience (8+ years preferred)
  • Strong automotive and commercial vehicle exposure strongly preferred (ute/pickup/van/truck)
  • Commercial confidence: business cases, margin thinking, performance trade-offs
  • Comfortable with product/technical detail without getting overly technical or verbose
  • Exceptional project management and delivery discipline — lots of moving parts at once
  • Stakeholder influence: can align Sales, Product, Marketing, Dealers and global counterparts
  • Strong analytical ability — tracking KPIs and using insights to adjust plan and spend
  • Strong agency management — crisp briefs, high standards, and follow-through to delivery
What’s on Offer
  • Rare “product owner” remit for one of NZ’s most high-profile vehicle brand
  • Broad scope: product, commercial performance, launches, campaigns and dealer enablement
  • High pace, high complexity role with real influence and visibility across the business
  • Collaborative team culture with autonomy, support, and clear accountability
  • Opportunity to work within a global organisation and shape outcomes locally and upstream
  • Some travel to connect with market and dealer network (not sales-level travel)
