We're seeking an experienced Governance and Board Administrator for a 3-month contract based in Te Whanganui-a-tara | Wellington

This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful mahi while supporting effective governance and driving process improvements in an environment grounded in te ao Māori, tikanga Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.


Ko te āhua o te tūranga | About the Role
Working closely with key stakeholders, you will:
  • Provide end-to-end secretariat support for two governance committees, including agendas, meeting coordination, minutes, and action tracking
  • Support strong governance practices and smooth committee operations
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
  • Maintain governance records and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Build positive relationships across the organisation and with governance members


Mōu | About You
The successful candidate will bring:
  • Experience in board, committee, governance, or secretariat support
  • Experience working with iwi, Māori boards, trusts, committees, or within a kaupapa Māori environment
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work confidently with a range of stakeholders
