About the Company:
Eat My Lunch is a social enterprise on a mission to ensure that no kiwi kid goes hungry at school.
In the last 5 years they have experienced massive growth and using a ‘Buy One. Give One’ model, they’ve made and delivered over 1.5 million lunches to customers and Given another 1.6 million lunches to kiwi kids in need. They currently provide ~2,000 lunches every school day to kids in Auckland and Wellington.
Eat My Lunch has won a tender for the Government’s Ka Ora, Ka Ako | Healthy School Lunches Programme, with the contract set to enable the business to provide lunches for approximately 16,500 Kiwi kids a day from next year; equating to 3.3 million lunches provided for children in 2021.
The announcement follows the last budget round, in which the Government committed to feeding 200,000 children a day in New Zealand in 2021 via a universal school lunch programme; an area of particular focus as many households experience heightened financial stress due to the impacts of COVID-19. The Eat My Lunch agreement will see the social enterprise providing lunches to schools across the Auckland and Wellington regions from Term 1 next year. Eat My Lunch are on the hunt for values based individuals with a can do attitude that want to be part of making a HUGE difference to Kiwi kids.

About the Role:
In Auckland we have 15 Delivery Driver roles, so make sure you spread the word!
You will get to work with a team of amazing people from all walks of life and share the Eat My Lunch purpose of ensuring no Kiwi kid goes hungry at school.
You will receive excellent support from your manager and a great team of kitchen assistants and drivers, but this role will challenge you and you will need to hit the ground running.
This is a busy role that will see you make lunch deliveries to various schools in the Auckland or Wellington region and play a crucial part in our mission to feed our kids and therefore support families.
Reliability is crucial to this role and we need to be able to commit to shift work for a 12-month period and be available to attend an assessment centre week commencing 5th of January or week commencing 11th of January for 2 hours.
- 5am – 1:30pm
- 6am – 2:30pm
- 7am – 3:30pm
You will be required to roll your sleeves up and get involved in anything that needs to happen in the kitchen – so you may be helping get the lunches ready and even packing boxes!
Deliveries will happen from 8am until 1pm.
Clean Full drivers licence required

- Have a valid full, clean New Zealand driver’s license
- Proven ability to deal with last minute changes calmly and methodically
- Be a quick learner to be able to hit the ground running
- The ability to work within a large team of diverse people in a fast-paced environment
- Be responsible for working individually and taking sole ownership of deliveries
- Be flexible and driven with a strong work ethic and an excellent attitude
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Be physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role
- Be passionate about Eat My Lunch – their social purpose and align with company values
