About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll be responsible for processing the daily accounts payable and receivable operations. This includes processing invoices, payments, and collections in a timely manner. Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you conduct regular reviews of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you'll play a key role in month-end closedown procedures and provide support for documentation.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Manage daily accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Conduct regular reviews of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with month-end closedown procedures and provide support for documentation.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with asset accounting.
  • Support the preparation of statutory annual accounts.
  • Assist with stock management processes, including reconciliation of physical stock to the stock management system and General Ledger.
  • Work closely with the finance and shared service teams to improve financial processes and controls.
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary information for annual audits.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

About You:

We're seeking a candidate who not only possesses the technical expertise necessary for this role but also embodies a collaborative and proactive approach towards achieving excellent results.

Experience:
 
  • 2-5 years of end-to-end AP and AR experience (ideally from large organisations)
  • Knowledge of GST
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred)
  • Strong organisational and methodical skills
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
  • Experience with stock management processes is a plus
