About the Role:


We're looking for an ambitious and motivated Business Development Manager to help grow our Foodservice and Retail business. Based in Auckland, you’ll work both independently and collaboratively to manage and expand relationships with distributor partners, retailers, and end users in your region.
Your mission: grow revenue, volume, and margin by developing strategic plans, securing new business, and influencing key stakeholders across your territory. You’ll also play a key role in executing new product launches and contributing to overall market share growth.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving sales targets, territory plans, and key account goals
  • Building strong, influential relationships with distributors and retail customers
  • Driving growth through new product ranging, promotions, and in-store execution
  • Mapping competitors and identifying new business opportunities
  • Representing the brand at industry events and promotions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives
  • Travel within the region as required

About You:


You’re a driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves the challenge of growing a brand. With experience in the food industry or FMCG, you understand how to build customer loyalty, influence decision-makers, and deliver on KPIs.

We’re looking for someone who brings:
  • Proven sales experience in the food or FMCG industry (5+ years ideal)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Solid planning and organisational abilities
  • A collaborative mindset, but also the confidence to work autonomously
  • Intermediate computing skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • The ability to manage conflict and find practical solutions
  • A proactive, strategic approach to territory and account management
