About the role:


Are you a master storyteller who thrives in a high-paced retail environment? Can you turn ideas into compelling campaigns that cut through the noise and drive customer action? If yes – we want you.

We’re on the hunt for a Retail Marketing Communications Specialist to lead the charge in driving consistent, powerful and engaging messaging across all House of Travel retail marketing campaigns. You’ll be the champion of cohesive storytelling and executional excellence, steering the end-to-end delivery of retail communications across multiple channels – from email to social, online and ATL to advertising. The official role title isSenior Retail Marketing Communications Specialist".


This is a key role in the newly reshaped Customer Engagement Team and offers the opportunity to shape the tone, structure and performance of tactical marketing campaign communications across the House of Travel retail network. Reporting into the Head of Customer & Retail Marketing with 2 direct reports this is a really exciting time to be joining the business, we are open to agency experience here also.


What you'll do:
 
  • Lead retail campaign communications – infusing tone, messaging, consistency and quality across every customer touchpoint, collaborating with internal campaign teams.
  • Craft compelling copy – from headlines to CTAs, you’ll bring energy and purpose to everything we publish.
  • Curate the end-to-end campaign messaging execution – collaborating with creative, digital, product, and retail teams to deliver retail marketing that performs.
  • Manage and mentor two direct reports: Paid Social Marketing Specialist and Marketing Automation Specialist.
  • Drive campaign QA – ensuring all collateral aligns with brand tone, guidelines and strategic objectives.
  • Create momentum – by identifying intersections between co-op campaigns to develop House of Travel branded retail advertising events.
  • Anticipate and activate – planning proactive campaigns that capture market attention.
  • Champion a customer-first approach – using segmentation and insights to tailor messaging to key audiences.

  • Bold, aligned campaigns that consistently cut through the clutter with a strong customer hook
  • A strong retail voice across all mediums, seamlessly connected and on-message.
  • High-volume campaign delivery that feels agile, creative, and always strategically aligned.
  • Collaboration across teams and improve campaign consistency.
  • Growing customer engagement, enquiry volume, and market share.

About You:


We are looking for a passionate and experienced MarComms manager, or agency Account Director, ideally from the retail space, with solid marketing, comms and campaign experience from a fast-paced environment. You will be a true collaborator, energising campaign delivery through shared vision
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing integrated campaigns across online and offline channels. This includes TV, radio, press, outdoor, digital (web, organic/paid, display, email)
  • A thinker who understands the mechanics of performance-focused communications.
  • Exceptional copywriting and storytelling ability – with a flair for balancing creativity and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills – able to both lead and roll up your sleeves when needed.
  • Experience working with creative and media agencies, digital tools, and campaign reporting platforms.
  • A natural collaborator who thrives in highly matrixed environments and loves cross-functional teamwork.
  • An upbeat, positive can-do attitude, with solid EQ.
  • Highly organisation with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Brings retail energy to everything they do plus drives consistency, and tone of voice.
