We’re hiring on behalf of our client – a well-established enterprise – for a Contract Engineer to support a key initiative involving the migration and configuration of IBM MQ applications.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong IBM MQ experience and proven ability to work across diverse environments and engage with cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes.
The Project
You’ll play a central role in:
- Configuring apps to securely connect to new IBM MQ queues
- Running existing tests to validate the setup
- Executing production change to roll out app updates
The environment includes a variety of codebases, runtimes, and applications, so success in this role means proactively engaging with application owners and technical stakeholders to understand, update, and migrate components as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ, including recent experience with MQ 8 to MQ 9 migrations
- Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and managing both Unix and Windows server environments
- Ability to engage and collaborate with application teams and stakeholders to drive migration activities across multiple systems
