About the Role:
The Senior Financial Accountant role aims to support the Financial Controller in ensuring that the organisation maintains robust financial, accounting, and internal control policies, systems, and processes.
The responsibilities of the Financial Controller Team consist of:
- Ensuring the fulfilment of its external financial reporting obligations.200
- Developing and upholding suitable financial policies and internal controls
- Safeguarding the integrity of financial information
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- Managing the annual audit of financial statements.
- Implementing appropriate procurement policies and practices
- Handling insurance placements
About You:
- Tertiary and CA qualified.
- Over five years of experience in financial accounting within a large organisation
- CFIS experience desirable
- Thorough working knowledge of relevant standards, principles, policies, systems and processes, procedures, guidelines, and regulations, including the Public Finance Act of 1989, Financial Reporting Act of 1993, New Zealand and international accounting and reporting standards.
