Interim General Manager Mount Wellington Licensing Trust Group

About Us:

Mount Wellington Licensing Trust Group (the Group) has been serving the local Mount Wellington and Panmure communities for over 70 years.  Until recently, the Group owned and operated hospitality assets.  To improve the funding to the community, the hospitality assets have been sold, and an investment portfolio has been established.  Funding generated will in the future support a range of community initiatives. The Group consists of a Licensing Trust (MWLT), a company (MWTH), and a Charitable Trust (MWCT). The Boards are deeply committed to making a meaningful impact and investing in the well-being and development of the communities they serve.

About the Role:

This is a unique and high-impact leadership role that provides strategic direction across the Group during a critical transition phase. Reporting directly to the Chairs of the Boards, you will be responsible for delivering key transition deliverables, ensuring compliance with legislative and governance requirements, and fostering a strong, values-based culture across the organisation and with the community. You will be the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing relationships and overseeing critical financial and strategic initiatives, including grants, investments, and stakeholder engagement.

About You:

You are a values-driven leader with a strong background in governance, strategy, and change leadership. With significant experience working in regulated environments, you understand the complexity of working with multiple Boards and have a track record of building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders. You bring high emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage compliance, people, and performance with integrity. A degree in business or a related discipline and experience in investment or grants management will be an advantage. Most importantly, you lead with purpose, professionalism, and a commitment to community impact. For a copy of the Position Description, please email: execsearch@tribegroup.com
