About the Company:
My client, a well-established automotive distribution business, seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team at the Mount Wellington head office. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is crucial for delivering accurate and timely financial and management accounting reports, with the opportunity to manage a small finance team.
About the Role:
- Prepare and present monthly group financial management reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and performance commentary
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting is completed within deadlines
- Liaise and provide support to external auditors during audits
- Identify and implement business process improvements
- Manage and develop junior finance staff
- Handle ad hoc projects as directed by the CFO
About You:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise tasks efficiently
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), including pivot tables and complex formulas such as XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and IFS
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Relevant accounting qualification preferred (CA or equivalent) or extensive relevant experience
