About the Company:
I'm proud to be partnering with Evnex, a high-growth New Zealand technology company at the forefront of smart electric vehicle (EV) charging. Evnex designs, builds, and installs intelligent EV chargers—locally manufactured and paired with advanced software that shifts charging to times when electricity is cleanest and cheapest. The result is reduced energy costs and a lighter environmental footprint for customers.
Backed by private equity and having recently launched into the Australian market, Evnex is entering an exciting new growth phase. I’ve had the pleasure of supporting their leadership team during this expansion, including the placement of their new CFO, who starts shortly and is now looking to appoint a key finance team member to help build out their internal capability.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a purpose-led, commercially driven business doing meaningful work in the clean tech space. The team is collaborative, forward-thinking, and passionate about driving real change in the way we power transport.
About the Role:
This is a newly created role reporting to Evnex’s incoming CFO in Christchurch. As the business expands into Australia with private equity backing, you'll take ownership of core finance functions—monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis.
Ideal for someone with audit experience, this is a rare chance to step into a hands-on, value-adding role in a fast-growing clean tech company. You’ll work closely with the CFO to build internal capability and support strategic decision-making from day one.

About You:
- CA Qualified
- Audit background strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and process-driven
- Proficient in Excel; exposure to Power BI or similar tools is a bonus
- Eager to grow within a high-performing, purpose-led business
