About the Role:

Arvida is looking for a Marketing Manager to support a product portfolio across its vibrant retirement communities. This role is key to driving local  community marketing initiatives across NZ, and success that aligns with Arvida’s brand, values, and sales goals. This role plays a vital role in delivering the company strategy for Arvida to become New Zealand’s most loved retirement communities.


 It is truly integrated marketing role, filled with variety reporting into the experienced GM Sales& Marketing and working closely with fellow marketing colleagues.

The official title for this role is “Community Marketing Manager”
In this role, you will:
  • Partner with Village Sales and Operations Managers to deliver tailored, community-level marketing plans
  • Design and implement end-to-end marketing programmes that support lead generation, brand awareness, and sales conversion
  • Develop on-brand local marketing content, materials, and events in collaboration with agencies and internal teams
  • Analyse performance data to optimise campaigns and embed a test, learn, and refine approach
  • Monitor market trends, competitive insights, and customer feedback to inform local strategies
  • Manage budgets and marketing resources to maximise impact and efficiency
  • Lead a specific portfolio area within the marketing team and share expertise across the group
  • Work with agencies
  • Champion Arvida’s values and foster collaborative relationships across all levels of the business
This role is based in either Auckland or Wellington.


About You:

You will be an experienced values led generalist marketer who enjoys making a tangible impact at a community level. You’re commercially savvy, proactive, and relationship-driven, with strong attention to detail and a passion for meaningful work. Ideally you will have experience working across a product portfolio, collaborating with colleagues at a local level, be curious, listen, share recommendations and help to deliver strong sales opportunities and results through marketing.



What you’ll need:
  • You will be an intermediate level marketer from the services sector. We are open to sector here! It’s about you -  your experience and what you can bring personality wise to the company
  • Experience working in medium to large, service-led organisations, where you have had an opportunity to innovate.
  • Ideally you will have led a product portfolio within a business with a unique/bespoke view to implementation in local or specific areas (each community is treated individually at Arvida).
  • Broad generalist marketing expertise across digital, print, brand, and local event and community marketing. It is essential you are a data led, insights driven marketer with sales lead marketing experience for success in this role.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns that drive results – in this instance the focus is on lead generation with some brand awareness
  • Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of how to align marketing with business goals
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills across all levels. Being curious and having strong listening and influencing skills as the subject matter expert for your portfolio are essential traits for success
  • Experience working with external agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality outputs
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and marketing systems
  • Strong project, time, and budget management skills
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in improving the lives of older New Zealanders and helping create New Zealand’s most loved retirement communities.
