About the Role:
As the Product Owner, you will be at the forefront of our client's data platform initiatives. Your expertise will guide the development of modern, scalable data solutions that empower teams across the organization. You’ll work closely with skilled technical specialists, ensuring that our platforms meet the evolving needs of the business and offer superior self-service functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape Data Strategy: Collaborate with technical teams to define and prioritize the architecture of modern data platforms, emphasizing cloud-native design and modularity.
- Hands-On Toolchain Knowledge: Utilize your experience with core platforms such as Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Terraform, and Azure to steer product development.
- Prioritize Initiatives: Assess and prioritize platform-level projects based on cross-team dependencies and their potential business impact.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code: Advocate for IaC practices to enhance deployment security and repeatability.
- Drive Automation: Implement automated workflows for testing and monitoring to improve efficiency across data pipelines.
- Ensure Compliance: Promote data security best practices, including access control and regulatory compliance, ensuring the integrity of the platform.
- Enhance Reliability: Utilize observability tools and strategies to maintain platform uptime and performance.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to evolve and adapt the data platform.
- Optimize Costs: Manage and minimize cloud resource costs across platform components.
About You:
- Proven experience in a similar Product Owner role, preferably within the data management or IT domain.
- Strong understanding of architecture frameworks and data toolchains.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and work autonomously.
