About the Role

Arvida is redefining retirement living where they are aspiring to be New Zealand’s most loved retirement communities  – and we’re looking for a strategic and inspiring National Marketing Manager to help lead the charge. This is a lead marketing role within the business – I know this role is going to be really popular as roles like this don’t come up often, and with a brilliant brand in such a fantastic, growing sector!


This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a nationally recognised organisation/brand with purpose at its heart. Reporting to the GM Sales & Marketing, you’ll work with a high-performing team and take ownership of brand, digital, product and local marketing initiatives that drive awareness, engagement and growth.

You will oversee your team working closely with sales leads and community managers to align marketing efforts with on-the-ground insights, driving connection and conversion across villages.

In this role, you will:
 
  • Lead the development and execution of Arvida’s national marketing strategy
  • Manage a talented marketing team across brand, digital, operations, and local community marketing managers
  • Oversee all brand, campaign, digital, event, sponsorship and partnership activity
  • Drive lead generation strategies and customer acquisition initiatives. This is the main focus of the role.
  • Translate data and insights into action – measuring what matters and making smart decisions
  • Build and protect Arvida’s brand in market, ensuring consistency and impact
  • Partner closely with Sales Managers and Village Managers and executive stakeholders
  • Manage marketing budgets and external agency relationships
  • Report progress and opportunities to executive and board level
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture aligned to Arvida’s values
This role is based in either Auckland or Wellington.

About You

You're a strategic thinker and hands-on proven senior marketing leader  across the full marketing mix – and a proven ability to turn vision into action. You're commercially savvy, deeply collaborative, and have a flair for storytelling, brand building and customer connection. We are looking for  proven success in lead generation strategies and customer acquisition initiatives. You will be all about the numbers.


You bring:
 
  • Senior-level services sector marketing leadership experience, ideally in complex, innovative and collaborative organisations
  • Strength in brand strategy, campaign planning, digital marketing and lead generation
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship skills
  • High EQ and strong communication skills – able to influence at all levels, with confidence presenting to exec and board level
  • A data-led, insight-driven, naturally curious mindset
  • Strong people leadership skills – you inspire high performance, build great team culture, and know how to grow capability. With a collaborative, values-led leadership style.
  • An eye for innovation and a knack for uncovering new opportunities
