About the Role:


As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing product strategies that elevate community services across the organization. Your expertise in digital product management, particularly within Community & Wellbeing, Libraries, and Parks & Leisure, will guide innovative solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders and service users alike.


Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of digital products, from concept to delivery. Ensure alignment with user requirements and organizational objectives to drive impactful service enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including frontline staff, service users, and community representatives, to gather insights and define product requirements. Build trust and navigate local governmental structures to advocate for project needs.
  • Drive Digital Transformation: Manage and implement service transformation initiatives, such as library self-service systems and community booking platforms, that improve user experiences and foster community engagement.
  • Agile Methodologies: Utilize Agile methodologies to manage product backlogs, roadmaps, and iterative development processes, ensuring efficient delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate in integrated quarterly and long-term planning to identify synergies across various investment areas, ensuring technology initiatives align with the broader organizational strategy.
  • Problem Solving & Decision-making: Apply strong analytical and reasoning skills to identify challenges and develop sustainable solutions, enhancing service delivery outcomes.
  • Conflict Resolution & Negotiation: Navigate the complexities of local government dynamics, facilitating effective communication and compromise among stakeholders to maintain collaborative relationships.
 
About You:

 
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in public sector environments, with a focus on Community & Wellbeing, Library Management Systems, or Parks and Leisure.
  • Strong digital product management background with hands-on experience in delivering service transformation projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex ideas to varied audiences.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and proficient in relevant productivity tools.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with experience leading collaborative efforts across multidisciplinary teams.
