About the Role:
As Territory Manager, you’ll be responsible for owning and growing a Central North Island territory across grocery and retail channels. Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, this is a dynamic and hands-on field sales role where you’ll focus on building brand visibility, securing shelf space, and driving promotional success for a portfolio of globally recognised wine brands.
You’ll be the face of the brand in your region, nurturing relationships, executing promotional strategies, and using insights to find new ways to grow share and visibility. This is a highly autonomous role with strong backing and tools to support your success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing value, volume, and distribution targets across your territory
- Delivering brand presence through promotional execution, ranging, and impactful in-store activations
- Building trusted relationships with store managers and staff, using insights and data to drive mutual growth
- Securing new product placements and negotiating share of shelf or fridge space
- Supporting tastings, trainings, and activations to elevate brand awareness
About You:
You’re a driven and results-focused FMCG Territory Manager who thrives in a fast-paced field environment. You know how to influence, negotiate and get things done in store, while also planning and reporting with commercial acumen.
You’ll bring:
- Previous FMCG or liquor industry experience in a field-based or territory sales role
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret sales data and spot growth opportunities
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- A self-motivated approach, able to work independently while staying aligned to team goals
- Passion for wine, or a willingness to learn the category
- Proven success in FMCG or liquor sales roles
- Strong territory management and promotional execution experience
- Relationship-first mindset with a love for wine and winning in market
