About the Role:
The Senior Data Business Analyst will leverage their extensive experience to guide data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with diverse stakeholders ensuring alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive technical specifications.
- Conducting thorough data gap analyses to identify inconsistencies within data and develop strategies for remediation.
- Working with complex datasets to perform source-to-target mapping and track data lineage, ensuring high standards of data governance and compliance.
- Collaborating with data engineers, governance leads, and QA testers to maintain data integrity and conformity to data models.
- Documenting business and technical requirements, including data definitions and end-to-end processes.
- Utilising Wherescape Red for tracing data lineage, conducting impact analyses, and interpreting transformation logic effectively.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance project value through data-driven insights and improvements while balancing multiple priorities effectively.
About You:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in data-centric business analysis roles, with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement.
- Deep expertise in SQL, data modelling (particularly Kimball methodology), and navigating complex datasets.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to clarify requirements and foster collaboration.
- Knowledge of Business Objects landscape and familiarity with BI reporting tools.
- A detail-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges.
