Corporate Accountant

About the Role:

This is not your standard accounting role. It blends core financial accounting with data analytics, reporting, and dashboard development. You'll be a key contributor to financial performance and play a critical role in helping the organisation understand and act on its financial data.

Key areas of responsibility include:
•    Preparing monthly and annual financial reports and statements
•    Leading and supporting external audit processes
•    Ensuring compliance with public sector reporting standards and internal controls
•    Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking across business units
•    Building and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
•    Driving automation and improvements across finance processes
•    Providing strategic insights and financial analysis to internal stakeholders

What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
•    A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
•    CA designation (or equivalent)
•    3–5 years’ experience in financial or corporate accounting roles
•    Demonstrated experience with Power BI and data visualisation in a finance context
•    Familiarity with public sector accounting practices and reporting requirements (e.g., CFISnet)
•    Strong Excel and data transformation skills (e.g., Power Query)
•    Ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
•    A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
