About the Company:


Topflite is a family-owned market leading bird and animal feed manufacturer located in Oamaru. Their high quality, locally grown products are sold online and through a variety of retailers and specialty pet stores nationwide. They have ambitious growth plans and to ensure they get delivered; a new Leadership Team role has been created to lead the finance function for the business.



About the Role:  


The Finance Manager is a newly scoped role that will see you leading a small team responsible for the end-to-end accounting function for this established and growing business.

Alongside the delivery of financial reporting and operational finance tasks, you will be able to add real value by providing the senior leadership team with commercial insights to support decision making and planning.

There is huge opportunity here to grow your role along with the business, and immediate wins with a variety of projects waiting for you to take on. 


About You:


The ideal candidate for this role will be CA / CPA qualified or similar and have previous experience working as either a Finance Manager or be an experienced Financial Accountant who is ready to make the step up.

Key to this role, will be your ability to work across a broad end to end role, lead a small team and seek out improvements and efficiencies as you go. 

With a clear growth strategy in place, we are looking for someone who is keen to stretch and develop their role alongside the business.

Along with strong technical accounting skills, you will enjoy working with systems,  have strong stakeholder management skills and enjoy coaching and developing people.
