2023 Sales, Marketing and Digital Update.

I'm seeing that brands investing in the right CX technology is crucial for businesses that want a great customer experience. I've seen an increase in Customer Lifecycle and Automation roles to make the most of their technology investments.

What we're finding is workplace wellbeing is a real focus for businesses and it's really important that both individuals and teams are being looked after. Everyone appreciates you've got work and your home life and it's about balancing both.

Potential employees across FMCG know it's a difficult recruitment market and really talent short. It's important businesses are doing all they can in every engagement to showcase their business and what they're doing in the EVP space. Candidates have options out there and companies that work hard to showcase their EVPs will have an edge when it comes to hiring.

Fair to say 2023 has been a year — in the last twelve months there's been a lot of financial pressures on businesses and economic uncertainties.

I operate in the contracting market. A market that has seen an increase in demand for talent, which we envision to continue through 2024.

Changing legislation means that many retailers will be looking to shift their focus to NPD to keep customers coming into store, with functional food and beverage, food to go and personal care products predicted to do well. As a supplier, if you've ever thought about bolstering your petrol and convenience efforts, now's the time to do so.

Across sales, marketing, communications, the demand for at the intermediate level continues to dominate. In the last year a lot of our roles have been between the $80k to $120k mark; this is due to candidates moving overseas.

A key trend that we've noticed this year from business leaders is a real focus on getting people back into the office. Key things like culture, collaboration and innovation have all been impacted with so many people working from home, so we're expecting companies and leaders to continue to ramp up their return-to-office policies in 2024, which will obviously have an impact on hiring.
