About the Opportunity
- We’re supporting a well-established financial services organisation to secure an experienced Events Manager for a 3-month fixed-term contract (start ASAP).
- You’ll step in to take ownership of the end-to-end coordination of a busy events calendar six events running between May and September.
- These events are varied in size and structure including a significant internal conference (approx. 250 attendees) requiring significant planning and coordination.
- There will also be a series of external expos/trade events targeted at small-to-medium businesses across a range of industries
- This role is based in Auckland Central with flexible working (typically up to 2 days WFH), and will suit someone who can hit the ground running, bring structure, and confidently drive logistics and delivery.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience managing and coordinating events, ideally across multiple events concurrently.
- Strong end-to-end delivery capability: timelines, run-sheets, supplier coordination, and event logistics.
- Confidence working with internal stakeholders and external partners/suppliers.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach - able to take initiative, anticipate risks, and keep plans moving.
- Clear, practical communication and a calm style under pressure (with attention to detail).
- Ability to support events that may involve travel (attendance isn’t essential, but flexibility is helpful).
