About the role:
The Trust Board seeks an outstanding Director – Business Development & Partnerships to create demand and relationships that will drive the South Auckland Sports Campus. The role will build strategic partnerships, sponsorships and funding relationships, negotiate complex commercial agreements, strengthen the Park’s market profile and convert sporting organisations and corporate partners from transactional hirers into long-term collaborators.
This is a rare opportunity to shape sustainable revenue growth while ensuring partnerships deliver participation, community benefit and enduring value for South Auckland.
You will be an experienced commercial leader with proven ability to:
- Build strategic relationships with sporting bodies, funders and corporate partners
- Negotiate complex sponsorship, revenue-sharing and joint-enterprise commercial agreements
- Create qualified pipelines that grow demand, utilisation and sustainable revenue
- Secure grants and funding through government and philanthropic relationships
- Lead marketing, communications and the Park’s regional profile
- Balance commercial value with participation and measurable community benefit
