About the role:
The Trust Board seeks an outstanding Event Operations Director to own the complete customer journey across the South Auckland Sports Campus. The role will connect sales, bookings, event planning, venue preparation, delivery, hospitality and customer feedback into one disciplined operation, while lifting utilisation, food and beverage revenue and repeat business.
This is a rare opportunity to lead complex event operations across Olympic-standard facilities, build consistent systems and service standards, and turn demand into safe, profitable and memorable experiences.
You will be an experienced operations leader with proven ability to:
- Lead sales, bookings, event delivery and hospitality as one operation
- Build event systems covering risk, security, traffic and emergency planning
- Grow utilisation, booking conversion, hospitality revenue and repeat business
- Deliver major sporting, community and commercial events safely
- Develop teams, service standards and consistent customer experiences
- Coordinate complex venues, suppliers, partners and internal teams
You combine commercial judgement and operational control, delivering excellent events while building systems that scale across a complex and growing Campus.
