About the Company:

 

Eat My Lunch is a social enterprise on a mission to ensure that no kiwi kid goes hungry at school. In the last 5 years Eat My Lunch has Given over 1.6million lunches to Kiwi kids who would have otherwise gone hungry at school. Five years on, they have experienced massive growth and using a ‘Buy One. Give One’ model, they’ve made and delivered over 1.5 million lunches to customers and Given another 1.6 million lunches to kiwi kids in need. They currently provide ~2,000 lunches every school day to kids in Auckland and Wellington.

 

Eat My Lunch has won a tender for the Government’s Ka Ora, Ka Ako | Healthy School Lunches Programme, with the contract set to enable the business to provide lunches for approximately 16,500 Kiwi kids a day from next year; equating to 3.3 million lunches provided for children in 2021.

 

The announcement follows the last budget round, in which the Government committed to feeding 200,000 children a day in New Zealand in 2021 via a universal school lunch programme; an area of particular focus as many households experience heightened financial stress due to the impacts of COVID-19. The Eat My Lunch agreement will see the social enterprise providing lunches to schools across the Auckland and Wellington regions from Term 1 next year. Eat My Lunch are on the hunt for values based individuals with a can do attitude that want to be part of making a HUGE difference to Kiwi kids.

About the Role:

 

The role of Customer Service Ambassador will have you be part of a team of 4. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Customer Experience this role will deal directly with customers (including schools), offering sales and service support, as well as supporting our Give Lead by identifying potential volunteers. Your day to day will include answering incoming calls and making outbound calls to new and existing customers who have made enquiries over the phone and email.

 

Other responsibilities:  

 

  • Processing orders and liaising with internal stakeholders such as the Sales Manager, Give Coordinator, Supply Coordinator, and Logistics Coordinator.
  • Seeking out larger opportunities throughout the year to sell lunches to businesses with the goal of maximising sales for the ‘Buy One, Give One’ program.
  • Build long lasting relationships with corporate decision makers such as EAs, PAs and Office Managers.
  • Discussing requirements and qualifying needs, organising orders, and onboard new clients
  • Meet sales, process and Service Level Agreement KPIs
  • Willingness to jump in a car or on a production line to ensure no child goes hungry at school.

This is a full-time role with hours likely Monday to Friday between 7 am – 3:30 pm. The role will require a level of flexibility and ability to manage ones self.

 

 

About You:

 

We are looking for someone with a passion for food and customers and love going above and beyond! Suitable applicants could be experience Customer Service or Salespeople, or someone with a great attitude and willingness to learn, that are comfortable completing sales on the phone, email, and in person. We are looking for someone that can own and improve the customer experience and manage people through the process from end to end. Other requirements are:

 

  • Good with new systems and can encourage customers to use the online booking system to become more efficient
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Well organised with good attention to detail
  • Motivated by sales targets
  • Motivated to work for a Social Enterprise
  • Positive mindset to support and help develop a positive workplace culture
  • The ability to think on your feet and work quickly under pressure.
