About the Role:

The purpose of this role involves operating the Biomass boiler, water treatment, wastewater treatment, refrigeration, and compressed air plants. This position is a key role within the operations team as all services must be optimal and reliable for safe, efficient, and continual operation of the site.

Key Accountabilities Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the operations and repairs of boiler equipment Maintain accurate records regarding logs and communications processes to comply with safety standards and for effectively managing change between shifts
  • Ensure safe and effective operation of Biomes boiler and ancillary equipment
  • Ensure all responsibilities and activities associated with water and wastewater treatment facilities and ammonia plant equipment
  • Support winter maintenance activities as well as operation of air compressors Productivity Seek productivity gains and innovations by: Continually driving efficiency through routine and preventative maintenance and reduced management costs
  • Developing processes to ensure improved equipment reliability
  • Optimising performance around quality and reliability Safety, Health & Environment Ensure safety performance measures, reporting and injury management are met and comply with legislative and company standards.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of safe behaviour
  • Ensure all responsibilities and activities associated with this role mee the required health, safety and environmental laws, regulations, obligations ad duty of care

About You:

Experience in the manufacturing environment, with desired experience preferably in dairy manufacturing. Experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Skills Advanced problem solving and fault-finding skills and a strong understanding of computer literacy for the monitoring, responding and fault finding of process control systems.

Qualifications
  • New Zealand Certificate in Energy and Chemical Plant Operations (ENCHEM Level 4)
