About the Role:  
 
  • Reporting into the experienced Solar Group Manager and working closely with a highly passionate CEO, this role is ultimately responsible fostering and growing both strong solar partnerships.
  • This role is tasked to maintain and grow these relationships with a broad range of solar installers nationwide (from large to small), ultimately helping solar installers sell more solar systems with their residential and commercial customers.
  • We are looking for someone with a strong customer focus (relationship builder who likes to hunt), being responsible for identifying opportunities that will help customers thrive. While this role is more skewed towards account management as the title suggests, you also need the drive to actively go out to market and gain new solar partners, finding out their needs/challenges, presenting Ecotricity solar to businesses and at events.
  • We are looking for a real relationship person with passion and energy, with good attention to detail who delivers what they say they are going to do.
  • Ecotricity have advanced technology and systems to support solar partners and their installations, including bespoke customer facing partner branded webpages, advanced billing technology, virtual power plants and meter upgrades, all enabling simple and efficient processes for their partners and their end customers. This hassle-free added value process, plus the benefits of solar - it’s a no brainer!
  • Developing networks, both internally and externally, will be second nature to you – bringing together the best of this business is key to exceeding customer expectations.
  • In this role you will attend and present at events (e.g. ESG)  to build networks and relationships with passionate and like-minded sustainable people.
  • New business development will be a key responsibility with new solar partners to ensure business targets are met. You will be responsible for strategy and engagement, closing sales and relationship management to a senior level. This role is uses CRM, automated referrals and will lead weekly sales meetings regarding solar.
  • This role also works closely with the Pricing and Marketing Team, responsible for channel marketing and keeping customers up to date with developments specific to solar installers, promotions and new products.
  • This role comes with a KPI.

About You:
 
  • To succeed in this role, you must have a passion for sustainability and ideally be able to demonstrate this through your current lifestyle choices.
  • You will have proven experience maintaining and growing current/new relationships with partners/customers. We are open to sector here, as long as you have a strong customer focus (basically a true relationship builder who likes to hunt new and existing as well).
  • You will have the ability to develop, build and lead multi-fork relationships at all levels of a client’s organisation and exceed their expectations. You will be a natural hunter who is also committed to building long lasting relationships.
  • We are looking for a genuine, trustworthy, passionate and energetic people person, with fantastic a project management skills and attention to detail. You will have a natural curiosity and enjoy meeting with and delivering to customers, following up and checking in. Building and growing relationships will be natural for you and being comfortable discussing sustainability and the relevant technical aspects of solar.
  • At the same time, you will be driven, and sales focussed, leading weekly sales meetings and growing the business.
  • You will have a positive attitude, an ambitious growth and entrepreneurial mindset. You will also be adaptive and resilient used to working in fast paced and complex environments. You will thrive in an inclusive and flat structure – culture is key to Ecotricity’s success.
  • You will have sound commercial acumen with a passion for customer outcomes, experience in technical products is a bonus to credibly being able to talk to key customers about solutions.
  • Experience in CRM is required (training provided), strong numbers and Excel skills and channel marketing is preferred.
  • You like to work autonomously as well as part of a great team.
  • It’s all about passion for sustainability and great attitude here. You don’t need to have worked in the industry (bonus if you have!), it’s how you walk the talk in terms of sustainability and solar – that’s what we are looking for here.
